Late-game systems
A guide to specialized machinery and world-changing tools.
Specialized machinery
Later systems include the Looter, Spawner, and a Miner with a charge-and-release cycle. Use the Encyclopedia's individual recipe and operation entries when assembling them; these are not interchangeable Consumers.
Contain the Miner
The Miner should be enclosed in Fortified Blocks. A failed enclosure can cause an explosion. A redstone release after at least 21 charges produces ore; more charge gives more output.
Build away from anything valuable.
Finish the containment before charging the Miner. Do not assume nearby ordinary blocks or worn accessories make a failed enclosure safe.
Nether and End Rituals
Rituals transform nearby blocks. Do not rely on a ritual changing the world's stored biome data; documentation and modern-port behavior differ on that point.
World-interaction items
- Ring of Shattered Stone: when worn close to an explosion center, spares affected nonterrain blocks. It does not protect the wearer from damage.
- Red Hole: when dropped, repeatedly explodes about every five seconds and vanishes after roughly 25 minutes of world time.
- Traveler's Bricks: boost motion.
- Rebounding Enigma: launches upward, with no fall protection built in.
