Pumps
Feed a pump to lift aura to a higher network block.
Operation & control
A Pump needs aura at its input and an eligible network block above it. Redstone power pauses upward transfer. Its remaining run time counts eligible seconds and pauses when no target exists or redstone inhibits it.
The speeds below are nominal for a one-block rise. Actual throughput changes with height and the color mix. Give neighboring Pumps individual input branches; a Pump does not feed sideways into another Pump.
Fuel and speed reference
| Pump | Fuel / trigger | Nominal behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Burning | Dropped furnace fuel | Fuel burn time ÷ 5; 300 aura/second. |
| Illumination | Consumes an adjacent Torch or Glowstone | Torch: 30 seconds; Glowstone: 180 seconds. Both at 750 aura/second. |
| Momentum | Nearby entity falls | Two seconds per block fallen; 500 aura/second. |
| Projectile | A projectile striking the Pump | Arrow: 20 seconds at 1,000 aura/second. Egg: 90 seconds at 500. Snowball: 10 seconds at 500. |
| Redstone | Consumes a connected powered redstone-wire path | Starts at 10 seconds and 1,500 aura/second. Each subsequent wire adds 40% duration, up to 15 wires. |
Alternating Pumps
Each ordinary Pump has an Alternating variant. Its accepted nominal speed triples, then a wave varies transfer from none to full over 20,000 world ticks—16 minutes 40 seconds at 20 ticks per second.
Redstone wire consumption stops at the first non-wire gap. Use the in-game recipe card for each Pump's exact crafting arrangement.
